How it works
1. Free introductory call
A short, no-obligation 20-minute call to ask questions and share a little about what's brought you to counselling.
2. Discuss what fits
Together we'll talk through whether counselling — and working with me specifically — feels like the right fit for you.
3. Begin counselling
If it feels right, we'll arrange your first session — face-to-face in the London area or online, whichever suits you.
What to expect
The free introductory call is a low-pressure opportunity to talk about what's brought you to counselling, ask any questions, and get a sense of whether working together feels right. There's no obligation to continue afterwards.
During this time, you'll have the opportunity to briefly outline what brings you to counselling and what you hope to achieve. I'll explain my therapeutic approach, practicalities such as fees and scheduling, and how we might work together. If we decide to proceed, we'll schedule your first full assessment session.
Confidentiality
Everything discussed in sessions is confidential, in line with the BACP Ethical Framework. The only exceptions are if I believe there is a serious risk of harm to you or someone else, if disclosure is required by law, or in the event of a legal requirement such as a court order. I also discuss my work, in an anonymised way, with my clinical supervisor — this is standard practice for all BACP-registered counsellors and helps ensure the quality of the support I provide.
When another service may be more appropriate
Counselling isn't the right fit for every situation. Where that seems to be the case, this can be discussed openly on the introductory call, with signposting to a more appropriate service where possible.
If it becomes clear that a different kind of support would suit you better — during the introductory call or at any point after — I'll discuss this with you openly and, where possible, signpost you to other services or practitioners who may be a better fit. There's no obligation to continue if it doesn't feel right.
If you need urgent help
If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call 999 or go to A&E.

Take the next step
Getting in touch doesn't commit you to anything — it's simply a chance to ask questions and see if this feels right.
